The Moto X4 Android smartphone has been the subject of numerous leaks and speculations over the past couple of weeks. But, its latest leak offers perhaps the best look at the handset and its specs.

HomaTelecom (official distributor of Motorola in Iran) has shared several alleged photos of the upcoming Moto X4 smartphone prior to its release. Motorola-Fans reported that the mobile device will roll out on August 24 at an event in Brazil.

Smartphone with a dual rear camera system

The leaked images of the smartphone suggest that the handset will arrive with a round camera design similar to the Motorola handsets released this year.

The Moto X4 appears to keep some of the curves and design language of the original model. Although the photos did not show the handset’s front side, it revealed the back where the image showcased the smartphone’s dual rear camera system.

The Moto X4 weighs in at 163 grams and will be available in two color options - Sterling Blue and Super Black. The Android smartphone is expected to be made available in four global models with subtle differences.

Device with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor

The handset is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 system on chip (SoC) with Adreno 508 GPU but tech experts speculated that the mobile device will arrive with a Snapdragon 660 chipset.

According to the Financial Tribune, the Moto X4 smartphone will sport a 5.2-inch full HD IPS LCD display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution.

The handset will be available with a 3 or 4GB of RAM and a non-removable Li-Ion 3,000mAh battery. The smartphone features IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.

On the camera front, the Moto X4 smartphone will arrive with a dual camera setup, with the main camera boasting a 12MP with f/2.0 aperture and dual autofocus.

The secondary camera features an 8MP with f/2.2 aperture. Meanwhile, the front camera of the handset will have a 16MP with f/2.0 aperture.

In terms of connectivity, the mobile device is expected to be equipped with a Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. The Moto X4 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

The handset will further come packed with a front-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, compass, and gyro.

Speaking about Moto X4’s price, the mobile device is anticipated to have a $400 price tag in the United States. When the handset does eventually roll out, the device will be one of the first non-Pixel devices to be up for grabs on Google’s Project Fi.
