Additional details regarding the heavily-speculated LG V30 flagship smartphone have made their way online. The latest information reveals the final launch schedule of the LG smartphone. Reports suggest that the high-end handset is going to compete directly with Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8, as well as Apple's iPhone 8 -- all of which are expected to be available at around the same time. The latest report (mention the report here) suggests that LG is expected to unveil the V30 smartphone on August 31St, at the annual IFA event.
Release date not confirmed
The launch date of LG’s V30 smartphone is believed to be quite close to Samsung and its Galaxy Note 8 unveiling event. Samsung earlier this month made it official that the South-Korean technology giant was going to introduce its much-awaited Galaxy Note 8 smartphone at its ‘Unpacked’ event on 23rd August. Now, that even LG plans on revealing its flagship device in the month of August; the competition is going to be seen getting very intense. Adding to the intensity is another player, Apple – who is expected to take the wraps off its flagship iPhone 8 devices in the month of September. As readers can observe, the launch date of all the three flagships from different big brands are very close to each other, thereby giving consumers the option of choosing the best of the lot.
Another report even goes on to suggest that LG might launch its V30 smartphone for sale on September 15th. This will only be valid in Korea until September 28th, wherein the device-manufacturer is expected to put its flagship smartphone on sale globally.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 powered device
As far as the specifications of the LG V30 smartphone are concerned, the device is speculated to feature a 6-inch OLED display with minimal bezels, and be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip.
The device is further expected to offer 6GB of RAM alongside 64GB of internal storage and wireless charging capabilities as well. LG might also pack up a dual rear camera setup with its V30 smartphone; however, that remains unconfirmed. LG V30 was initially rumored to come along with a secondary display as well, just like its predecessors; however, soon enough these rumors were refuted as the impending leaks made no mention of any such feature. Apple is expected to delay the launch of its iPhone 8 as well, thereby giving both, Samsung and LG enough time to gather as many consumers as they possibly can.
