Sony has confirmed that its Xperia XZ Premium is set to receive significant Camera enhancements, including 3D face scanner alongside Android Oreo OS update later this year. The firm has also taken the wraps off its Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact at the recently concluded IFA, 2017. These two smartphones serve as successors to last year’s XZ and X Compact. They come equipped with all the high-end specifications one could imagine.

Android Oreo might be featured

For instance, as reported by Tech Radar, both the phones are powered the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset.

The two even share a similar design, wherein their ends are protected by metal framings. One of the many primary features of the two smartphones is that, they both house the latest Android Oreo out-of-the-box. The devices will also be known for their camera specifications. Sony is traditionally known to pack their products with the best camera technology possible. The firm even took to the official IFA platform to show-off some camera tricks in the latest handsets – one of them being its 3D Creator.

Amazing camera with 3D scanner

The software comes designed with the ability to develop 3D scans of humans and objects through the use of its camera. The 3D Creator feature comes pre-installed in both, Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact.

Apart from the 3D Creator software, the smartphones even boast of Motion Eye camera system. This captures pictures a few seconds before the user actually presses the shutter button. Sony has added this feature with the objective to ensure that the users don’t miss a single moment. The camera system also supports 4K video recording at standard speeds.

Another interesting addition is the company’s Steady Shot stabilization option. Users can utilize this while recording videos or capturing pictures, to prevent a blurry result. While both the smartphones feature a 19-megapixel rear sensor, Xperia XZ1 packs a 13-megapixel front snapper, and XZ1 Compact features an 8-megapixel front shooter.

The firm has even suggested that they might add the ability to customize faces on games in the days to come. The devices also come equipped with 3D printing, however; the scans aren’t detailed enough. The XZ1 sports a 5.2-inch HDR display with 1080 pixels, meanwhile, Compact sports a 4.6-inch display with 720 pixels. Both come protected by Corning’s Gorilla 5 as added protection. Sony has integrated IP68 certification, which makes both the smartphones dust and water resistant.
