Asus is expected to introduce its ZenFone 4 smartphone with a dual rear camera setup on August 19. Chinese technology giant ASUS has long been planning on adding a new smartphone to its ZenFone family. The upcoming device has been dubbed by many as ‘ZenFone 4,’ which is expected to come with exciting specifications and a fairly decent price tag.

If the latest report are to be believed, the upcoming smartphone will probably come packed with a dual rear camera setup and is expected to be introduced at an event held in Phillipines of August 19.

Speculated specs and features

While the company hasn’t shared much details regarding the specifications of the upcoming smartphones, fans still managed to get an idea of what can be expected from ASUS ZenFone 4, thanks to the endless leaks and speculations. The company has been on a launching spree since the beginning of this year, wherein they introduced many ZenFone smartphones including the ZenFone 4 Max, ZenFone 4 Pro, ZenFone 4V and ZenFone 4 Selfie as well. However, as far as the specifications of ZenFone 4 smartphone are concerned, the device is expected to pack a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED QHD display along with 2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution, further clubbed with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip.

On the storage front, the smartphone is expected to offer 6GB of RAM alongside 64GB of internal storage as well. Camera-wise, the upcoming smartphone is expected to offer a dual rear camera setup with two 21-megapixels sensors complimented with a special 2x zoom feature. There is no word on the front camera, the battery power and the operating system as of yet.

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625

Meanwhile, ASUS is also expected to introduce its ZenFone Selfie smartphone – which is rumored to come packed with a 5.5-inch full HD display and will probably be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 or 626 system-on-chip, which will further be complimented by 4GB of RAM alongside 32GB of internal storage.

Competition

As far as the ZenFone 4 is concerned, the device is expected to fall in the high-end category; however, the firm hasn’t hinted on a price range. The new phone will fall in direct competition with others in the market, including the likes of Samsung, Google, Apple, and Nokia as well. It will be an interesting fight to watch, for sure.
