Apple iPhone 8 is one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2017. Apple released its very first iPhone in 2007 and changed the way we looked at mobile phones. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the iPhone and it goes without saying that company has something major and memorable up its sleeve to celebrate this momentous milestone. Rumors are flying thick and fast hinting at some impressive features hitherto never seen in an iPhone. The iPhone 7, however, did not garner the rave reviews of its predecessors and so we are expecting a major revamp in the new model releasing this year.

Testing is going on

The Apple flagship is rumored to come up with top-notch specs. According to MacRumors, the company is speculated to be testing more than 10 prototype iPhone models and the final one, let’s not make any assumptions here, is going to be a real surprise. But rumors point out towards a radical design upgrade that will feature an edge-to-edge display that will do away with the top and bottom bezels where the Touch Id fingerprint and the front-facing camera are housed. The recent leak of an iPhone rear panel shows no indication of Touch ID on the back. Maybe, the Touch ID could be eliminated entirely in favor of facial recognition technology.

The device will pack ultimate specs and features

Apple iPhone 8 is also said to feature a 5.8-inch display. The display may be flexible plastic OLED. Forbes in a report lists 12 talks about 12 features that would make the iPhone 8 worth its price. These include an indestructible screen, the return of the 3.5mm jack, wireless charging, waterproofing and dust resistance, 4K filming and more.

The device is also speculated to feature USB-C Type for connectivity and fast charging. Reports also suggest that the flagship might also mark infinity display.

Other credible online reports speak of a 10-nanometer A11 chip which will make the device faster and more efficient. Facial recognition and the front-facing camera that comes with advanced 3D sensing capabilities that use technology by PrimeSense will be the other highlights of the new release from Apple.

To mark its status as a premium model, the iPhone 8 may be available in a limited number of colors. iPhone 8 will go head-to-head with Samsung Galaxy S8 in the high-end smartphone market. Still, the release date and price of the smartphone are not confirmed but device might cost around $1000.
