Samsung introduced its flagship smartphones Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus earlier this year. It goes without saying that the firm managed to establish its impact effortlessly with those smartphones. The firm also introduced their version of a digital voice assistant called ‘Bixby’ with the device. However, the firm wasn’t able to include the digital voice assistant with the smartphones. The fans have since then been waiting for an update regarding the assistant. A new report claims that the company is expected to officially launch its ‘Bixby’ voice assistant for use on July 18th, 2017.

Official launch on July, 18

If reports are true then two days from now — that is on Tuesday, July 18, Samsung will be officially launching it's Bixby digital voice assistant for use. The Bixby Voice assistant is without any questions among the most awaited features of 2017. A leaked image was recently posted on Reddit, wherein the leakster revealed that the launch-date for it is close. A report by Android Headlines suggests that Samsung was unable to debut its Bixby voice assistant with the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones because it wasn’t equipped with enough data to function well in the U.S. market.

A flagship feature of Galaxy S8

While a beta version is currently available on the market; it is scheduled to be replaced by the final one on the 18th of this month.

The same report states that Bixby is important for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphone to keep users satisfied and is among the crucial parts. This is why the devices were priced at such a hefty amount. The digital voice assistant — at the time of its launch — was introduced as a means to deliver tough competition to other existing digital assistants such as Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Microsoft Cortana, and Apple Siri.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear like it was able to replace either one of them. Sadly, the beta users haven’t exactly been happy with regards to the whole thing.

As far as the rumored launch-date is concerned, readers are advised to take it with a grain of salt as it remains unconfirmed. However, it is true that Samsung is going to take the wraps off its digital assistant sometimes in the next couple of weeks.

The feature will obviously be launched in the form of an update, especially to benefit the existing Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphone users. Therefore, they are tipped to keep a look-out for any incoming updates.
