For now, it seems like Samsung’s rugged smartphone Galaxy S8 Active will remain an AT&T exclusive in the United States. Thus, if a buyer has a need for rugged smartphones, AT&T would be the only carrier to head to in the country. However, Samsung has not made anything official regarding the rugged iteration of the Galaxy S8, and there is no word regarding the smartphone from AT&T as well. Although the handset surfaced online a few times, tech enthusiasts and interested buyers are still awaiting for the smartphone to debut officially. However, a release may be very near as the screen protector for the same has just appeared online.
Tempered glass appears on Amazon
On the bright side, one may soon see the handset debut soon as the protective glass for the smartphone is up for purchase on Amazon. The news came to light thanks to leaks Roland Quandt shared the picture of the same on his Twitter account. The handset’s render was listed on Amazon by smartphone accessory retail company OMOTON Mall.
Apart from the glass protector, there is also a picture of an alleged Galaxy S8 Active on the listing. The samsung galaxy S8 Active comes in a pack of 2 and has been described as “bubble free” and “high definition” glass. The tempered glass screen protector has been priced at $7.99 and will be up for purchase on August 1. Thus the release date of the tempered glass for Galaxy S8 Active could very well hint the timeframe around which the rugged Samsung smartphone will be available in the market.

One can see thin bezels on the left and right side of the smartphone. The bottom bezel of the alleged device on the listing is slightly smaller than the top, which houses the earpiece and the front camera. It is rumored that the smartphone will be featuring an IP68 dust and water resistant certification and will be priced less than $700.
