Although the Concept Creator rolled out its vision for the smartphone in the last couple of months, its latest render looks rather interesting.
The Pixel 2 XL latest concept design appears to combine both glass and metal, but it looks much sleeker compared to the previous-gen Pixel devices. The larger variant of the new-gen Pixel devices can definitely capture a share in the smartphone industry, as it can compete with flagship devices such as Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 and Apple’s iPhone 8.
According to Value Walk, the concept design’s fingerprint scanner is located on the back of the device, where the main camera, the dual-tone flash, and some sensors are also positioned. Google’s branding is also located on the back. All of Pixel 2 XL’s physical keys (power button, volume up, volume down) are located on the right, while the Type-C USB port and microphones are placed on the bottom.
The Pixel 2 XL latest concept design made it known that the smartphone will be available with the extremely slim bezel. The handset seems like the Galaxy S8 and LG G6 combination. However, the smartphone will further come packed with a 3.5mm headphone jack and will be up for grabs in three color options: Red, Green, and Blue.

Nevertheless, according to Droid Report, the Google Pixel XL 2 Android smartphone will be manufactured by LG. The mobile device is expected to arrive with a 5.99-inch Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and 18:9 OLED touchscreen. The larger variant of the next-gen Pixels will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor, an Adreno 540 graphics processing unit, as well as 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
The device will also pack a 3,500 mAh battery.
In terms of the price, the search engine giant is expected to offer the Pixel 2 XL at a mid-range price tag. Its price will provide the smartphone an edge over the devices from Apple and Samsung. The XL 2 is anticipated to cost $750, which is significantly more affordable compared to Apple iPhone 8’s price tag.
Expected release date of the device
Although Google is yet to announce the official release date, tech fans are expecting the tech company to reveal the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones in late September or early October.
