HMD-Global Nokia has finally made its much-awaited Nokia 6 smartphone available for sale. The smartphone is available for purchase on Amazon at a base price of $179. Amazon has launched the device as part of its Prime Exclusive smartphones wherein users may have to face ads on their lock screen. Initially, when the smartphone was announced by Nokia, it was priced at $229. However, this did not include any ads. Therefore, for users to avail a discount of $50, they might not get the option of turning the ads off the lock-screen of the smartphone.
Nokia 6 is good value for money
As reported by Android Headlines, Amazon has made the Nokia 6 smartphone available in three different color variants namely Black, Copper, and Blue. While the front panel of the Nokia 6 smartphone remains a stagnant black color, it is the back portion whose color essentially changes to Black, Copper or Blue (depending on which color the buyers opt for). The smartphone falls in the mid-range category, thanks to the price-cut provided by Amazon as well. On the specifications front, the said smartphone features a 5.5-inch full-HD display and is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor.
Runs on the latest Android OS
On the storage front, the smartphone offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
Camera wise, the Nokia 6 smartphone comes along with a 19MP rear-facing camera complimented by an 8MP front snapper. The smartphone also houses 2,500mAh battery and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat OS. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers a micro-SD card slot option, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other necessities. The smartphone is perfect for a basic, first-time user.
Amazon is offering the smartphone unlocked. Therefore, users just need to purchase the device and insert their respective SIM cards to make the device functional. Moreover, since the said smartphone is also GSM-compatible, major US-based carriers such as AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon among others will seamlessly connect with the smartphone.
However, users are advised to note that the Nokia 6 smartphone offered by Amazon is not compatible with MVNO’s provided by T-Mobile or AT&T networks.
Furthermore, other network carriers such as Straight Talk and Simple Mobile are also facing a similar issue. Amazon promises Nokia 6’s delivery in a day’s time. Therefore, if interested buyers purchase the smartphone today, they will get it as early as tomorrow.
