The nokia 3 and Nokia 5 were recently spotted at the FCC, now another smartphone from Nokia has made its way to the US regulatory body. Nokia 6 has also received the FCC certification, which hints that the smartphone is inching closer to its United States launch.

The HMD Global made Nokia-branded Android smartphones are expected to be released worldwide in the current quarter. However, with the Nokia 6 surfacing on the FCC and WFA, it can be assumed that its release in the country is drawing closer. The Nokia 6 was spotted with the model number TA- 1025 on the FCC.

The popular smartphone

Nokia 6, the mid-ranged Android smartphone was the first device from HMD Global. The device was initially launched in China on January 8 this year. On February 26, at the Mobile World Congress it was announced that the smartphone would be available globally. The handset met with immense popularity in China and was sold out within minutes of going up for pre-order in the country.

Features of the smartphone

The handset features a 5.5 inch LCD display, with FHD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It also has Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, the device is equipped with the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, which clocks at 1.4 GHz CPU and Adreno 505 GPU.

The upcoming Nokia device also boasts 3GB of RAM.

It offers 32GB of onboard memory which is an expandable. The device also sports a 16MP rear camera with an aperture of f/20, PDAF, as well as laser auto focus.

For shooting selfies or enjoying a video call, the device has an 8MP front camera. The smartphone sports a massive 3000 mAh battery. The device comes with Android N out of the box.

Pricing and colors

It is expected that price for the Nokia 6 in the US may be equal to its UK pricing. This means that the smartphone will be priced around the $297 mark. It is expected that the device may come in multiple colors namely black, gold, blue, and gray.

With the device being spotted at the FCC and getting the requisite certification, it can be expected that the United States launch is not that far.

However, an exact release date for the smartphone is shrouded in mystery.

Some reports have even claimed that the Nokia 3310 may have compatibility issues with some US carriers, consumers would be hoping that such hiccups are not there in the Nokia 6’s way. Whether the smartphone can replicate its success in China in the US remains to be seen.
