LG is expected to introduce its flagship smartphone – the LG V30 smartphone – in August during the IFA, 2017 event scheduled to take place in Berlin. The firm has already sent out press invites for an event on August 31st. Moreover, since the company has traditionally been unveiling its V-series of smartphones in the month of September, during or after the IFA, the possibility of them doing the same this year as well is good. While the company hasn’t made mention of any of the possible specs set to arrive in the upcoming smartphone; the internet is flooded with rumors and speculations regarding the same.
OLED display feature
As per rumor-based reports, it seems like the upcoming LG V30 smartphone will come packed with an Oled Display instead of the Ips Panel that most of its predecessors have utilized. The firm is expected to use the same aspect ratio as the recently-launched LG G6 smartphone, 18:9. In other words, the smartphone will be tall and wide enough to provide the users with the entertainment that they need. The smartphone is also expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC.
An absolute beast in terms of specs
On the storage front, the device will most probably pack 6GB of RAM alongside 128GB of internal storage. Users will also have the facility to expand the memory if they’d like via the device’s microSD card-slot option.
Apart from this, the upcoming LG V30 smartphone is widely-rumored to feature a dual rear camera setup with 13MP sensors. No word on the front camera has been revealed as yet.
Since its LG’s flagship smartphone, the device is expected to fall in the high-end category of smartphones. It is going to fall in direct competition with other big-brands in the market such as Google, Nokia, and Samsung.
LG might also be experimenting with the idea of integrating a virtual home button. However, that hasn’t been made official as yet.
It is being widely rumored that the upcoming LG V30 smartphone might be launched in the European markets as well. As can be recalled, the LG V10 two years back did not make it to the European market.
However, this time the LG V30 will make it to the European market. None of the above-given information has been confirmed by the company as yet. Therefore, it remains to be seen what exactly takes place next month. Until then, the readers are advised to take this information with a grain of salt and nothing else.
