While Samsung may have had a bad 2016, the South-Korean tech-giant has been compensating for the same this year. After unleashing its flagship smartphones, Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, the company is now prepping up for the launch of its heavily-speculated Galaxy Note 8 smartphone. Everyone particularly looks forward to the Note 8 because the smartphone serves as the successor to last year’s Galaxy Note 7 – which is the biggest goof-up in the history of technology. The South Korea-based technology giant hasn’t confirmed any launch-date as yet; however, that hasn’t stopped the rumor-mill from churning away.

The phablet is leaked online

In a new turn of events, an alleged image of the smartphone has emerged on social media platform, Weibo. Experts believe that the leaked image was going to be used by the company during the promotions of its phablet smartphone. At the same time, there is a high possibility that it might just be one of those concept-based, fan-made filtrations. Therefore, readers are still advised to take the information with a grain of salt and nothing else. Two alleged renders of the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 have emerged online.

A flagship killer

The first one showcases a savvy-looking, ultra-black adorned handset with Samsung’s Infinity display, bezel-free sides and a home-button. The second render showcases the same details but in that image, the smartphone lacks sensors or buttons that are highly expected to arrive in the same.

The details showcased in both the images pretty much match the information that has been leaked in the past.

Samsung is also expected to pack the upcoming smartphone with a dual rear camera set-up. On the software front, the device will most probably be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC – just like its sibling Galaxy S8 did.

The South-Korean tech-giant also wanted to integrate its upcoming Galaxy Note 8 smartphone with an under-the-display fingerprint sensor. However, the possibility of it happening is rather dim.

Time and again, rumors have claimed that Samsung is planning on launching its flagship smartphone by the end of August. However, recent reports have indicated that Samsung is facing a technical glitch, which might delay the launch of the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 smartphone to September.

However, the firm is believed to have the wish of wanting to introduce its smartphone before Apple unleashes its power-packed iPhone 8. It’s only a matter of time until one knows for sure, exactly what will be taking place next.
