Electronics manufacturer LG has officially taken the wraps off its latest tablet, dubbed Lg G Pad IV 8.0 FHD Lte. The device has been introduced in the Korean market at the moment. According to the company, the aforementioned gadget falls in the budget category. The firm still hasn’t revealed any details regarding whether they will launch the device in other markets as well. The LG G Pad IV packs a simple design and basic user-friendly features. The primary highlight of it is that it comes packed with on-screen keys — giving users a seamless typing experience.

A mid-range tablet

LG announced the tablet on their official website, revealing all the key specifications of the same. The said tablet features an 8-inch full-HD display with 1,920 x 1,200-pixel resolution and a 4:3 aspect ratio. The tablet is further powered by Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor, which is clocked at 1.4GHz. As noted by Android Headlines, tablets that are powered by this processor, essentially end up falling in the mid-range category. On the storage front, the tablet offers 2GB of RAM complemented by 32GB of internal storage.

Device packs decent specs and features

This also comes with the option of expansion wherein users can avail up to 2TB of internal storage.

Apart from that, the LG G Pad IV 8.0 FHD LTE sports a 5MP rear camera along with a 5MP front snapper as well. What kind of sensors LG has packed in with the same, are still unknown since LG hasn’t provided any information regarding the same. On the connectivity front, the device includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4G / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and a micro USB port.

Since the tablet comes with a micro USB port, it means that the company decided to do away with the Type-C USB port. The tablet houses a 3,000mAh battery that is non-removable by nature.

According to a report published by Android Soul, LG’s latest offering runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box topped with LG’s custom UI.

Users will be able to avail a range of new features including the ‘Knock On’ and ‘Dual Window’ setting as well. As far as the measurement of the device is concerned, the LG G Pad IV 8.0 FHD LTE packs 216.2 x 127 x 6.9mm and weighs approximately around 290 grams.
