Google earlier this year, confirmed that the company was working on Pixel 2 smartphones. Following which, a flood of rumors and speculations started emerging online. This has caused a lot of debate over what the smartphone will turn out to be.
On similar lines, a new concept-based report has revealed the possible design that the said smartphone will sport. The report also suggests that both, LG and HTC will be involved in the manufacturing of both, Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 smartphones.
Design of the smartphone
A YouTube channel, Concept Creator recently uploaded a video that showcases the heavily-speculated Google Pixel 2 in its full-fledged form.
As per what is revealed by Concept Creator, it seems like the Google Pixel 2 XL particularly will sport a large display. In the past, it was reported that the aforementioned handset might feature a wrap-around screen. However, the new concept image does not fall parallel to those reports. In fact, the concept Google Pixel 2 XL looks quite similar to the upcoming LG G6 device.
Furthermore, it has also been suggested by Concept Creator that the upcoming smartphone will come equipped with lesser glass built on its rear panel. The rear panel notably also sports a single-camera accompanied with flash and a fingerprint sensor.
This goes on to defeat the previous rumors that claimed that Google is planning on introducing an under-the-display fingerprint sensor.
Additionally, the multiple color schemes that the device will flaunt were also revealed by Concept Creator.
Features and specs of Pixel XL 2
Previously, several reports have indicated that the upcoming smartphones will come equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor. If this turns out to be true then the Google handset will fall in direct competition with other big brands such as Samsung and Nokia who plan on integrating the same system.
Google is also expected to arm its Pixel successors with 4GB of RAM and either 32GB or 128GB of ROM — same as what was provided by Samsung in its flagship devices, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.
Google is highly expected to pack a dual rear camera setup with its upcoming Pixel smartphones. It is being reported that the aforementioned devices will pack a 12MP dual rear camera setup with special 4K-video recording capability along with an 8MP front snapper.
While no significant leaks regarding the upcoming Pixel 2’s battery have emerged, the possibility of arming the devices with a 2,770mAh battery is high.
On the connectivity front, the Google Pixel 2 smartphones will most probably be sporting USB type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, 3G, nano-SIM and NFC. The Google Pixel 2 smartphones are expected to arrive by the end of this year.
