Alcatel has certainly kept its smartphone roots untouched in the recent past, with the majority of its focus invested in other types of gadgets such as tablets. It’s high time Alcatel make a move as far as the smartphone market is concerned, as the latter is rapidly expanding at a fast pace and consistency is key to success. It feels like Alcatel has finally realized the same. A new report that emerged online recently claims that an Alcatel-branded device was recently spotted passing through the formal FCC certification process.

Smartphone has been leaked

As per several reports, the alleged Alcatel-branded smartphone with Model Number ‘H076’ was apparently spotted on the official FCC website. As per the information provided on the website, the listing along with images regarding Alcatel’s alleged device was submitted by TCL. The listing on FCC pretty much revealed some of the key features of the upcoming smartphone. For instance, it is being assumed that the upcoming smartphone will pack support for 2G GSM and 3G WCDMA networks. Apart from that, the device can also apparently seamlessly connect with other LTE networks including bands 2, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, and 66. In other words, the smartphone can also apparently be used on networks delivered by Canadian wireless carriers including Freedom Mobile.

Speculated Specs and features

Apart from this, connectivity options set to arrive in the device were also revealed. It is known that the smartphone will include support for single-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth’s special Low-Energy. Bluetooth’s Low Energy essentially allows users to get their respective devices connected to the internet or other devices such as headsets and speakers smoothly.

As mentioned previously, alleged images of the device were also submitted. Therefore, by this information, it can be assumed that the upcoming device will probably pack dual front-facing speakers for an enhanced audio experience. There’s also a fingerprint scanner located on the rear side of the device on the top right-hand corner, just next to the single rear camera set-up.

The smartphone can also be sporting microSD card slot-options along with a SIM-card option as well. Power buttons and a volume locker button is situated on the right-hand corner of the device.

The upcoming Alcatel smartphone is further expected to be powered by Mediatek’s MT6750 chipset. Furthermore, it is highly speculated that the smartphone will pack a whopping 4,000mAh battery that will be non-removable by nature.
