OnePlus 5 has been subject to all sorts of rumors and leaks, despite the lack of an official announcement. Lining with this, the alleged final design of the hotly anticipated smartphone has found its way on the internet in the form of leaked photos, concept images, and renders. However, there's no sign of one of the most awaited features.

More details leaked via leaked photos - What's missing?

Smartphone enthusiasts, rejoice! More information regarding the OnePlus 5 has been divulged ahead of its scheduled release date thanks to recently surfaced photographs that have been doing rounds all over social media.

The said leaks suggest that OnePlus 5 will sport a dual camera set-up just like the one on the iPhone 7 Plus, Huawei P10 and LG G6. These leaks were spotted on Chinese social media site Weibo.

Aside from that, OnePlus smartphones' characteristic physical Home Button along with fingerprint scanner is likely to make a comeback with the Chinese smartphone manufacturer's upcoming flagship. If the latest leaks proved to be true, OnePlus would oust the Alert Slider, which is basically a physical switch placed on the side of the device allowing users to toggle between options like All Notifications, Priority, and Silent without having to unlock the device.

A dual camera set-up likely

The purported promotional photographs hint at a couple of vertically-stacked camera lens said to be 16MP sensors.

OnePlus seems to have placed the LED flash exactly below the dual lens, while the power button and the volume rocker appear to be situated on the right. It can be recalled that the upcoming smartphone's predecessor i.e. OnePlus 3T featured the much lauded physical alert switcher and volume keys on the left side. But much to the dismay of those who have restlessly been waiting to get their hands on OnePlus 5, there will be no physical alert switcher on its long-rumored successor.

This shreds of information revealed in the latest leaks actually coincide with earlier rumors about the OnePlus 5 that has already made several appearances online in the form of teasers circulated by the Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer. Although the top bezels of the alleged OnePlus 5 sports a single-lens front camera arrangement, the device seems to house a display with a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio.

The official promos suggest the OnePlus 5 will be up for grabs in five color options. The device will pack the first 10nm SoC (system-on-chip) from Qualcomm -- the Snapdragon 835, the same processor used in HTC U11, Sony Xperia XZ Premium and the US variant of the Samsung Galaxy S8.

It's also worth noting that the chunk of silicon that powers the forthcoming smartphone is compatible with 4K UHD resolution; however, it remains to be seen whether or not the OnePlus 5 will even receive a screen upgrade over its precursor that came with a standard Full-HD display with 1920x1080 pixels resolution.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 5 is rumored to pack 8GB of RAM and 64GB of internal flash memory; however, a 128GB model of the handset could be in the offing as well but, neither is expected to have a microSD card slot. With an official launch confirmed for June, more and more details about the device are expected to be revealed.
