Latest rumors for OnePlus 5

Rumors are already rife about the upcoming OnePlus 5. The latest update comes from a series of four picture samples which have been leaked online and are reportedly from the upcoming smartphone.

As detailed in numerous reports, the photos were taken from a device with a model number A5000, which is similar to the codename of previous Oneplus model numbers. The OnePlus 3 was codenamed A3000. Also, the latitude and longitude leaked in the screenshot show that the pictures were taken in Shenzhen, China, which is where the company operates from.

Also, the blurred shot somewhat confirms the ongoing rumors about the OnePlus 5 of a dual camera setup. Industry experts have also claimed that the flagship successor could hit the market featuring a 16MP dual camera, with one of the cameras being able to take wide angle shots.

OnePlus 5 features to expect

The company has already proved itself as a successful brand in the smartphone market. The Chinese handset maker has already released four successful handsets globally, including OnePlus One, 2, 3 and 3T with spectacular features at mid-range prices. The OnePlus 5 is expected to be bigger, better and more powerful.

The handset is rumored to boast a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution.

The Oxygen OS handset is said to come with the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat and will boast a Snapdragon 835 chipset. Also, the OnePlus fans can expect an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 540 GPU, along with 8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of native storage. OnePlus 5 is also said to come loaded with a 4000mAh battery with a quick charging feature.

The tech company is reportedly expected to launch the latest device this year, with many tech experts concluding that the upcoming phone will be announced sometime in the second quarter of 2017. While many hope that the release speculation is true, it’s very hard to tell whether the latest EXIF data Leak is genuine, as it’s very easy to fake something like this. Until then, stay tuned for more, as the latest updates come to light.
