Aside from conflicting official name, the iPhone 8 recently is flooded with claims about its launch and release. There are several speculations that Apple's next-generation flagship device will be delayed for its release because of the shortage of OLED supply. However, a recent report about the Cupertino-based tech giant's highly anticipated device says otherwise.

On time mass production

Economic Daily News (EDN) through DigiTimes, recently reported that the iPhone 8 will be unveiled in September of this year as there will be no more delays for its imminent launch.

The recent report contradicts the previous speculations that mass production of the next-generation device from Apple will be delayed to the fourth quarter of this year rather than the previously anticipated August to September launch. The delay according to some claims is due to yield rate issues in the development of several of its parts.

The report further stated that suppliers in the company's supply chains are all set to produce iPhone parts beginning June. These companies include SLP (substrate-like PCB) makers Zhen Ding Technology and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). Other suppliers that are all gearing to ramp up production are Kinsus Interconnect Technology and Simpio Technology, which supplies the device's battery.

For its part, TSMC starts to make the wafer starts required for the production of Apple's very own A11 processors. The project is said to begin in June and will deliver the chips in massive quantity in the middle of July according to the report. Aside from that, Kinsus and Zhen Ding already improve their respective yield rates of SLP products to maximize volume production of the SLP materials in June.

Moreover, Foxconn Electronics, Pegatron, and Winstron are also expediting the training of new workers in China to prepare for the mass production of the upcoming flagship device.

What to expect from the flagship device

The much-awaited iPhone 8 allegedly will have a dual camera set up at the back portion along with optical image stabilization.

The front camera will have a 3D sensing technology. Aside from that the device reportedly will have improved water and dust proofing as well as wireless charging. Moreover, the device is anticipated to have an all glass body by Gorilla Glass. The device was previously predicted to be available for $1000 for its base level model.
