Rumors had been spreading that iOS 10.3.1 jailbreak tool will be out next week and many are already anticipating its release. But the Pangu team did not confirm that this will be happening soon. As a matter of fact, new reports indicate that the hacker group won't be releasing it unless iOS 10.3.2 is already out to the public.

Although Pangu did not release any jailbreak to iOS 10 yet, many dedicated followers of iOS jailbreaking still believe that they will release something. It is noted that last year, they created a tool for iOS and recently, they released a video which manifests that they have plans to proceed with the jailbreak.

Release rumors

In the video released by Pangu, it suggests that the solution is already ready and will be launching after Apple's iOS 10.3.2 update. This might confirm the speculations that the hacker group just waited for the Cupertino-based tech giant to release an update to iOS 10.

The clip, which is believed to be a iOS 10.3.1 jailbreak demo, was posted on Chinese social network Weibo. It shows a jailbroken iPhone 7, giving hope to Apple users that the tool will indeed work. The post says that the expected arrival of the jailbreak tool, codenamed Janus, is after iOS 10.3.2 rolls out. It is said that the firmware will become official after weeks of beta releases. Hence, if Pangu does indeed release the jailbreak, a crack will possibly come out on Monday when the official 10.3.2 firmware goes live.

Todesco's jailbreak version

Once released, the version of Pangu will be a huge improvement on the Yalu jailbreak of Italian iOS security researcher Luca Todesco. It is said that the Italian hacker is still planning to finalize the Yalu102 based on the Twitter exchanges between him and a follower. According to reports, Yalu102 is now on beta7 and will soon be on beta8 adding the 3D touch features.

Todesco also clarified that he did not give up on his Yalu jailbreak yet and a solution will be finalized soon. He also hinted about an upcoming Dark Mode which will happen after Yalu102 is released to the public.

Jailbreak tool device compatibility

For those wondering if their devices will be compatible with the jailbreak solution of the Pangu team, it can be utilized for iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s and iPhone SE.

It will also be available for iPad Mini 3, iPad Mini 2, iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, and iPod Touch 6G.

As for the Yalu102, it will support all 64-bit devices except for iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPad Air 2. Once finalized, it will also be available for iPod Touch 6, iPad mini 4 and other 64-bit Apple devices.
