The HTC U 11 is all set to be unveiled soon by the company of the same name. However, prior to its launch, HTC is leaving no stone unturned in promoting and hyping the launch event scheduled for May 16. A new teaser video has been posted by the company which does not detail much about the impending handset but teases fans with the caption “360 real life recording.

The teaser video
The 9-second teaser does not offer any additional information on the HTC U 11. More information regarding the device may also become available on the phone’s launch day. However, some of the features of the handset have been revealed previously.
The HTC video shows a gang of bikers surrounding the HTC U 11 handset. It is most likely that the 360 here means 360-degree recording capabilities. This means that the phone’s camera may be able to capture images in a 360-degree arc. However, this is mere speculation.
HTC U 11: the specs
Previous GFXBench listings have given an idea as to what the impending handset will house under its hood and also the various features for the smartphone.
For instance, the benchmarking site showed that the HTC U 11 will boast a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. It will also house the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, which is also a processor that powers Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. For its graphical capabilities, the HTC handset will come with the Adreno 540 GPU.
The listing also detailed that the smartphone will come with 4 GB of RAM along with 64 GB of internal storage. However, it did not mention whether the device will support microSD cards. The GFXBench listing also did not specify if there would be different variants of the phone with varying onboard storage and RAM.
The HTC U 11 will also likely come with an 11MP Ultra Pixel camera with 4K video recording ability, HDR, and LED flash.
The smartphone will also sport a 15MP secondary camera, which will be able to record videos in Full HD. Battery capacity of the handset is not known, but considering the other high-end specs, it too will possibly be impressive.
The unique feature that the HTC U 11 sports – and which no other current-gen smartphone in the market has yet used – is the ability to squeeze the sides of the handset to make the device perform certain functions. Details of this functionality remain scarce for now. However, if HTC manages to pack in a useful feature through this squeeze function then it may lure consumers.
