The samsung galaxy S8 and the Huawei P10 are both great smartphones, but the in-depth survey found vast differences between them. Both phones come from large reputable manufacturers and also come in two variants, it would be unfair to compare the S8 with a smartphone like Techno or Infinix. Before the final verdict, let us put both phones to test and see who the ultimate smartphone king is.

Huawei had an early start.

Huawei P10 and P10+ were both unveiled to the world in March during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the same event that saw the comeback of the Nokia 3310 and also the 20MP selfie camera by smartphone maker Gionee.

The P10 resembles the iPhone 6s but with an Android operating system, but Its design language lacks originality.

The P10+ comes with 6GB of RAM which is bigger than some laptops of the same price and 128GB of internal storage. The P10, on the other hand, has 4GB of RAM which is pretty standard for high-end smartphones. Huawei P10 full HD display lags behind as compared to LG and Samsung which have QHD panels. And for its enormous ask price, it sucks how Huawei made slight improvements to its predecessor the P9.

Samsung wait was worthwhile

The S8 is a beautiful phone and although it does not have a 20MP rear camera like the P10, you realize that those are just numbers once you take similar photos.

The S8 comes in five different color variants there’s the Midnight Black, Artic Silver, Orchid Gray, Coral Blue, Maple Gold, unlike Huawei which comes in simple color options like Black, Green, Silver, Gold or Rose gold. The S8 is driven by the first 10nm processor on the phone the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, which makes it amazingly fast and responsive even when gaming or shooting 4K videos.

Samsung also introduced a virtual assistant on the S8 by name Bixby that can be accessed by pressing a button on the side of the phone. The assistant is supposed to rival Google Assistant and Apples Siri; the problem is, it looks like it is still in its beta version. Samsung fast charging lets the phone charge up to 100% in 1hr same as the P10 which also supports wireless charging.

The Galaxy S8 and S8+ are similar regarding specs difference only comes with the S8+ 3500mAh battery as compared to the S8 3000mAh. The difference, however, originates from a contrast in screen size as the S8 has 5.8inch screen size and the S8+ is 6.2inches.

The Galaxy S8 carries the day

The P10 is not a game-changer, and that's true. Huawei patterned with Leica from the P9 to bring an excellent photography experience, but the camera features are not exactly user-friendly. The P10 and the Samsung Galaxy S8 to go on sale on April 21st, 2017 S8 both support 4K video recording with optical image stabilization at 30fps, but Samsung beats Huawei as its water resistant up to 1.5m for 3o min meaning you can take awesome underwater videos, unlike the P10 which is not water resistant.

Unlock your phone with your eyes? Really! Seems futuristic but now you can do it using the S8 iris scanner. The S8 has a quiet feature that is a game changer. The Bluetooth 5.0 the first on any phone. Bluetooth 5.0 is 2x faster has 4x the range covering up to 200M on clear areas, while the P10 has a backward Bluetooth 4.2. The S8 also comes with AKG earbuds with a 3.5mm jack meaning you can use them on other phones a kind gesture by Samsung. Although the Galaxy S8 is slightly more expensive than the P10, it’s unique and beautiful than the P10.
