Xiaomi Mi6 has again gained the attention of tech enthusiasts recently. Similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8, Apple iPhone 8, and LG G6, the Chinese smartphone has also gained its own speculations, predictions, and leaks. Among the loudest are the most recent series of leaks, which among others claim about the upcoming smartphone’s processor, Release Date, retail price, and specifications.
Leaked render
One leaked render, which was first reported by Playful Droid, showed the alleged Xiaomi Mi6 sporting a sleek and glossy look all wrapped in a black color coat.
It is also noticeable that the device has curved edges and has a striking similarity with the Mi Note. It is also worth noting that the leaked render displayed the home button located on the lower part of the device. The back part showed the alleged dual-camera setup.
Early listing
Aside from the leaked render, another leak was spotted on the website of Oppmart. The post contains all the necessary details sellers include in marketing smartphones. It has the description, technical Specs, features, image of the device as well as the price. As an excerpt from the post, it described the alleged Xiaomi Mi6 to have a 5.15-inch OLED screen with full Sharp HD display.
In addition, the upcoming smartphone would sport a 19MP Sony IMX400 camera and will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Processor.
It will also have a 6GB LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB flash storage. To top it all, the device will allegedly use MIUI 8 based on Android OS.
Three variants
There are also reports claiming that Xiaomi Mi6 will be released in three variants. The first variant is speculated to have the Snapdragon 821 chips. The second variant will have the edge-to-edge curved display and will also run on SD 821.
The third variant, or what others refer to as the premium model, is expected to have the Snapdragon 835 chips.The variants that run on Snapdragon 821 allegedly have a 4,000mAh battery pack. In addition, both have a 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal capacity.
Release date and price
According to reports, the Xiaomi Mi6 will be released on April 16. The Chinese device is said to be available for $299.
