The Nintendo Switch’s early game lineup will feature titles from the many Nintendo franchises, and it might come with a new Pokémon title. Game Freak has two new job postings that call for individuals willing to work on "a title that everyone knows.” The advert does not exactly mention that it’s intended for the newly launched console, but fans are already treating it like a little giveaway.

The first listing calls for a 3D CG designer that will work on a popular monster-based series, and as the ad specifies, "characters, monsters, and items" are to be the main subjects. The second advert needs someone who is adept in creating models with quality at par with the Wii U or PlayStation Vita.

Could there be a 'Pokémon Stars?'

To reiterate, neither listing outright indicates the new title will be a Pokémon game, but Game Freak did previously say it’s keen on creating a game for the Nintendo Switch. Reports say that the team is working on one at the moment.

Gaming enthusiasts over at Eurogamer said that a Pokémon game by Game Freak is in the pipeline, and it’s apparently something created out of “Pokémon Sun” and “Pokémon Moon” dubbed “Pokémon Stars.” The new game will, of course, be similar as with the past semi-sequels in the Pokémon series – like how “Pokémon Red” and “Pokémon Blue” spawned a “Pokémon Yellow.”

Nintendo: The suspense will kill you

Should “Pokémon Stars” makes it way on Nintendo Switch, this would be first full Pokémon game on a Nintendo console, although not exactly the first console title. The little monsters have regularly appeared on Nintendo consoles before, but they’re mostly spin-offs or side titles.

Both job listing will end May 2018, and it’s unclear yet if it’s an indication of a potential release date.

Considering the Switch’s staggered triple-A releases. However, it would fit into Nintendo’s game catalog plans.

The new console enjoyed fantastic sales with “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.” More titles are slated to come out later this year, such as “Super Mario Odyssey” and “Splatoon 2.”
