As we move further into the 2020 recruiting class, the Nebraska football team is starting to pay more attention to the 2021 recruiting class as well. That's why the Huskers are going after a real road grader in David Davidkov.
The Cornhuskers offered the offensive lineman late last week and are now just the latest school to be going after one heck of a tank on the front line. Perhaps the most interesting thing about him is that so far, he hasn't been getting a ton of attention from other schools. That should change quickly as other programs start looking at what they want from the 2021 class.
Under the radar tackle
At the moment, Nebraska might have found a way to get their foot in the door in what is going to be the best players in the entire state of Illinois. Davidkov nine offers when you include the Huskers and coming from the state of Illinois, it should surprise no one that the Big Ten has come calling more than anyone else.
Having come Winetka, Illinois, it's entirely possible that the Huskers managed to find a kind of diamond in the rough that other schools haven't really caught onto just yet. That could go a long way in getting Davidkov to come and see what Nebraska has to offer.

The Huskers have done quite well when it comes to getting players to come and see what Memorial Stadium can do for them.
Those kinds of visits tend to be the kind that can convince a player they need to be in the crimson and cream of the Cornhuskers.
David Davidkov would be a massive get for the Nebraska football team as they want to make sure that they are strong up front on both sides of the line. He won't be able to be on campus for quite a while, but Scott Frost and company have done a very good job of showing how they are building for the future.
Behind the numbers of David Davidkov
Nebraska is already going after a number of quarterbacks in the 2021 class. Now they are looking to get someone who can keep their jersey clean. Davidkov is considered the second-best player in the state of Illinois. He's also considered the 16th best offensive tackle in the 2021 class.
He's also considered the 100th best player in the entire class.
That's why it's a bit of a shock that he's not getting pursued by all that many Power 5 programs. Michigan appears to be the team that the Huskers are going to have to fight off if they want to grab the offensive tackle.
Iowa and Minnesota are also in on the player. He's been getting more offers lately but it is a bit surprising that Nebraska hasn't had to fight off more programs. The next step is going to be trying to get David Davidkov into Lincoln to see what Memorial Stadium has to offer, as well as what the coaching staff can pitch to him to get him to eventually commit.
