Cricket in its original form is a game that goes on for five days. However, in keeping with modern traditions of quick-fix solutions, a shorter version evolved – it was the one-day concept and labeled as the ODI or One Day International.

That held sway for a time but the fans wanted still more action-packed games and the Twenty20 version was born. It is the shortest, its duration is just over four hours and is packed with action from the word “Go.”

India Today reports the Indian Premier League IPL began in 2008 and has gone from strength to strength.

Twenty20 is a game where batsmen dominate

Cricket is a game of the bat and the ball and Twenty20, the shortest form of the game, is one where the batsmen dominate.

The fans love to see the ball being pelted to all corners of the field, especially over the boundary ropes and the bowler sighs and grimaces. In IPL 2018, Mumbai Indians beat Chennai Super Kings in the initial stage. However, CSK had the last laugh when they beat SRH in the final.

According to NDTV the batsman who scores maximum runs gets the Orange Cap in recognition of his talents. The winners of this distinction were a mix of Indians and foreigners with Chris Gayle and David Warner winning it twice.
