Cricket in its original form is a game that goes on for five days. However, in keeping with modern traditions of quick-fix solutions, a shorter version evolved – it was the one-day concept and labeled as the ODI or One Day International.

That held sway for a time but the fans wanted still more action-packed games and the Twenty20 version was born. It is the shortest, its duration is just over four hours and is packed with action from the word “Go.”
