The Week 14 Sunday portion of the schedule is in the books, and, once again, dramatic finishes were front and center! The Dallas Cowboys won an overtime thriller against the Philadelphia Eagles, while the Miami Dolphins had a Festivus miracle on the final play of the game as they knocked off the New England Patriots and hurt their playoff bracket.

Fantastic finishes

If you didn’t catch the Week 14 action, you missed out! Let’s start with the Patriots. New England fell to Miami, 34-33, as the Patriots grasped defeat from the jaws of victory. CBS Sports indicates that while the official box score will go down as a 69-yard touchdown pass as time expired, it was more like a play that is drawn in the sand in a contest between friends.

On the game's final play, Miami quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw a short pass to Kenny Stills. Stills then lateraled the ball to DeVante Parker, who, after running a few yards, pitched the ball to Kenyan Drake, who scampered 52 yards for the game-winning touchdown. A Miami miracle!

The Cowboys kept their winning ways as they defeated the Eagles in overtime. The loss puts a damper on Philadelphia’s chances of making the postseason, just one year after winning the Super Bowl.

And how about the San Diego Chargers? I mean Los Angeles Chargers. Yes, the Rams are playing great football, but scoot over Jared Goff, because right now Philip Rivers is the best quarterback in the City of Angels. Rivers quietly has more touchdown passes, fewer interceptions, and a much higher passer rating than Goff.

The Bolts improved to 10-3 on the season after defeating the Bengals Sunday afternoon, as they continue to keep the heat on the Kansas City Chiefs.

What’s going on?

What has happened to the Carolina Panthers? Yesterday, they hit a new low, as they fell to the Cleveland Browns, 26-20. The loss was the fifth in a row for Carolina, who are now 6-7 on the season, following a 6-2 start.

Last, but not least, are the Steelers. The once 7-2 Steelers were rolling toward another AFC North title and a top five spot in the power rankings. Now, on the heels of three straight losses, they have to win out to just make the postseason.
