Week 14 of the NFL schedule got underway Thursday evening in Nashville, Tennessee when the Titans hosted the Jacksonville Jaguars. This game was great - that is if you are a fan of the Titans! CBS Sports indicates that Tennessee scored early and often as they rolled to a 30-9 victory keeping their playoff hopes alive. Did it impact the current Super Bowl odds?
Speaking of playoff hopes, what in the world happened to the Jaguars? Last season, this team was literally one half of good football away from going to the Super Bowl. This season the Jags are 4-9 and already asking what went wrong.
What a difference a year can make.
In case you missed it, Titans running back Derrick Henry made a bit of history on Thursday. Henry had an incredible 99-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, where he literally threw defenders out of his way. Henry’s run tied Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame running back Tony Dorsett for the longest run in NFL history.
Big games
Week 14 begins the final month of NFL regular season play and the race to the finish line is going to a dramatic one. Eight teams in the NFC are still very much alive in the hunt for a Wild Card spot, and teams like the 4-8 Lions and Giants are just two games behind the No. 6 seed Minnesota Vikings. The same can be said in the AFC, where seven teams are log jammed in the race.
Fans may not know the final NFL playoff bracket for 2019 until the very last regular season game is played.

Sure, teams like the Lions, Giants, Packers, Dolphins, and Bengals need to win out and get help along the way, but in this league, you can never say never.
It is amazing what two wins in a row can do for a team's confidence.
