In the final year of his contract (he plans to opt out), Butler is earning roughly $20.5 million from the Wolves. He is in line for a huge payday once he hits free agency, and Butler has made it clear to the front office in Minnesota that he will not be re-signing with the club.

So far this season, he is averaging 22.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. Those are impressive numbers, keeping his trade value relatively high on the open market.
