The NFL power rankings for Week 13 have arrived and once again there is a shift in the top ten. While teams like the LA Rams, New Orleans Saints, and Chicago Bears keep rolling along, two teams in the NFC are starting to gel, and both can be very dangerous if they make it into the postseason.
Cowboys take over NFC East
How 'bout them Cowboys? The Dallas Cowboys were left for dead one month ago. Now, after reeling off three wins in a row, Dallas has taken over first place in the NFC East division following their big win over the Washington Redskins on Thanksgiving Day.
According to a CBS Sports report, Dallas is starting to put things together at the right time. The addition of wideout Amari Cooper to the offense seems to be paying off each week, and boy, he stole the show on Thanksgiving!
Cooper hauled in eight passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns. If Cooper continues to play at a high level, it will make the Cowboys a legit threat in the postseason if the Cowboys should make it that far. Dallas already has a solid run game with Zeke, so adding a go-to guy like Cooper will make life a lot easier for Cowboys QB Dak Prescott.
Another team to watch in the NFC are the Seattle Seahawks. On the heels of defeating the fading Carolina Panthers on the road, Russell Wilson and the Seahawks are showing they still have something left in the tank.
Sure, they are in the same division with the red-hot Los Angeles Rams, but the Seahawks have a ton of postseason experience. Seattle knows that all they need to do is get into the big dance, and anything can happen!
Packers in trouble
Are the Green Bay Packers in serious trouble in terms of making the playoffs? It is starting to look that way.
Green Bay fell to 4-6-1 on the season following their 24-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday evening. The longer the Packers struggle, the more the Mike McCarthy rumors grow.
Green Bay is far from out of a wild card position, but they basically need to win out from here. That looks doubtful for a team that isn't playing well.
