The Nebraska football team could be getting an unexpected bonus to its 2019 recruiting class on Friday evening. 4-star wide receiver Marcus Washington announced on Thursday night he would be committing on Friday, October 26. Washington made the announcement on his official Twitter account and gave a bit of a foreshadowing on just what his final decision is going to come down to. In the announcement saying when and where he will be committing, he posted a picture of receiver's gloves from four different teams. It appears Washington will be picking between the Huskers, Missouri, Texas and Ohio State.

Nebraska football could be seeing a haul to end October

The Huskers have already added one 4-star receiver prospect, this week, in Darien Chase. The team is also looking to add a few more before November really gets going. Defensive back recruit Javin Wright has said he will be announcing his commitment on October 31. The Arizona recruit has basically said his decision is going to come down to either the Cornhuskers or the UCLA Bruins.

Scott Frost and company will then find out one day later where Wandale Robinson is going.

Robinson is a 4-star all-purpose back that is going to be announcing on November 1. His decision appears to also be coming down to either Ohio State and Nebraska. If the Huskers could somehow also grab Marcus Washington, it would be a massive boost to a program that has been talking a lot about a turnaround finally starting.

The team just won their first game of the year, if they were able to make a clean sweep of these prospects, the 2019 recruiting class would suddenly look like a bit of a juggernaut.

Huskers likely the dark horse at best in race for Marcus Washington

While it would be a massive boon for the Nebraska football team to get Marcus Washington, the realistic outlook for the Missouri prospect is that he's going to pick one of the other three schools.

247Sports has the player as a pretty strong lean to Texas. Then it's Missouri and then Ohio State. The Cornhuskers appear to be the team that is pulling up the rear right now.

That doesn't mean they have no shot at all. The coaching staff is on a bit of a roll of late. Wandale Robinson was once thought to be a stone-cold, lead pipe lock to be going to Ohio State. Now it appears most experts say they would be surprised if he went anywhere other than Lincoln. Perhaps the same can happen with the Nebraska football team and Marcus Washington.
