After a mere escape against Hong Kong, India will face Pakistan in the final group A clash of the Asia Cup 2018 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Wednesday, September 19, 2018.

Overs 39: Pakistan 151/7

Pakistan wins the toss and bat first

The match is scheduled to start at 4:30 PM PST, 5:00 PM IST.

Both the teams have qualified for the Super Four stage after successful beating Hong Kong in their respective matches.

On Tuesday, India beat Hong Kong by 26 runs to eliminate them from the competition.

India and Pakistan will now join Afghanistan and Bangladesh in the Super Four stage starting on September 21.

Before this match, Pakistan and India have played against each other 11 times in the Asia Cup history, out of which India has won six games and Pakistan has won four while one ended without any result.

Junaid or Amir for India game?

Pakistan went with their best line-up against Hong Kong on Sunday and won that match comprehensively by eight wickets.

Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed is likely to stick to the same unit in this crucial game. However, Cricbuzz suggested that Mohammad Amir, who has had an ordinary year with the ball, could be dropped in favor of Junaid Khan, who has a good record against India.

Usman Khan bowled an outstanding spell in the last game, and he will be a key factor in this game, especially because India has a history of vulnerability against left-arm pacers.

India face selection problems again

India didn't really play to their full-strength side, as they rested KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya. According to a report on Cricbuzz, the trio is expected to return to the side while Khaleel Ahmed, Shardul Thakur, and Dinesh Karthik might find themselves on the benches.

India failed to pick up early wickets against Hong Kong, and having Bumrah back in the team can boost that ability at least. It will be interesting to see if India opt for Khaleel Ahmed who was impressive picking up three wickets against Hong Kong.

The pitches have been slow in the United Arab Emirates, so far in the tournament, and that won't be changing for the Indo-Pak game at Dubai.

The hot and dry weather will obviously take a toll on the team fielding first, hence most captains are likely to bat first on this track.
