Week 3 of the 2018 NFL preseason schedule will get underway tomorrow when the Philadelphia Eagles travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns. According to NFL.com, Week 3 of the exhibition schedule is what most NFL experts look into a bit deeper than the other preseason games due to the fact that most coaches refer to this game as a “dress rehearsal” for the regular season. Week 3 is when most teams will play their starters for the entire first half -- if not longer.
Must-see action
Yes, we are still in the exhibition portion of the schedule, but there are a ton of great looking games on the schedule.
SB Nation indicates that Friday’s schedule will feature several marquee matchups, including the New England Patriots facing the Carolina Panthers, the Giants squaring off against the revamped Jets, and the Detroit Lions taking on Tampa Bay in a battle of two teams heading into the 2018 season with high expectations.
But wait, there's more! The Seahawks will take on the Minnesota Vikings, and the Green Bay Packers travel to Oakland to face Jon Gruden and the Raiders. Not a bad lineup for a Friday night in August.
TV schedule for Week 3
Week 3 of the 2018 preseason NFL docket will see its biggest TV schedule of the exhibition season as eight games will air nationally. Two games will air nationally on FOX and CBS, while the NFL Network will cover three other contests, including the big game between the Green Bay Packers and Oakland Raiders.
NBC will air the Sunday night game between the Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys starting at 8PM ET.
