Week 2 of the NFL preseason schedule is scheduled to get underway Thursday evening, featuring a Super Bowl 52 rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots. While the drama won’t be half as intense -- and for the second straight week the starters from both teams will most likely see minimum action -- the game will still draw a lot of attention from NFL fans everywhere.

Big matchups

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots will seek revenge against the Philadelphia Eagles Thursday evening, and this game -- along with several others on the Week 2 schedule -- is quite intriguing.

The Boston Globe indicates that Thursday night will not only feature a Super Bowl rematch, it also will include a possible 2019 NFL title game when the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Green Bay Packers from Lambeau Field. The third game on the docket has the NY Jets taking on the new-look Washington Redskins. These two teams built up some anger toward one another earlier this week as several fights broke out between them during their daily scrimmages.

Other big games on the schedule include Seattle facing the LA Chargers, the Raiders taking on the Rams, and the NY Giants taking on the Detroit Lions from Ford Field in Detroit.

TV games

According to CBS Sports, Week 2 of the 2018 NFL preseason schedule will see many games get some nationwide coverage, including a Saturday quadruple-header.

Between the NFL Network and ESPN, fans will get their share of NFL action this weekend. A total of six games will air on national television this weekend, including the Oakland Raiders facing the Los Angeles Rams, the Bengals tangling with the Cowboys in Big D, and the Seahawks taking on the LA Chargers in a Saturday night showdown.
