Tom Brady too old? Don’t tell Las Vegas sportsbooks that! With the 2018 NFL Hall of Fame Game slated for this Thursday, August 2, bookmakers are starting to trickle out prop bet odds for the upcoming season, and guess who is the early favorite?

Brady No. 1 - again

According to a Patriots Wire report, quarterback Tom Brady is favored to repeat as the NFL MVP in 2018. The soon to be 41-year-old is the early preseason favorite to win the award again, and truthfully, why wouldn’t he be?

Brady, who is coming off of one of the best Super Bowl performances in NFL history (505 yards passing, three touchdowns) still has a lot of game left in that right arm of his.

The Patriots will look a lot different in 2018 than in seasons past, that’s for sure. With the loss of several key players including left tackle Nate Solder (Giants), wide receiver Danny Amendola (Dolphins), running back and kickoff returner Dion Lewis (Titans) and defensive back Malcolm Butler (Titans), Brady will have to have one of his best seasons ever to help the Patriots continue their dominance in the AFC.

Nevertheless, Vegas sportsbooks are tagging Brady as the favorite to win the Most Valuable Player Award despite all the on and off the field distractions following New England into the new season.

Brady is coming off a season in which he passed for 4,577 yards, 32 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.

Top 10 favorites are all QBs

Most NFL fans know that the MVP of the league is usually won by a quarterback. That in itself may be why the first 10 names on the 2018 MVP odds board are all signal callers!

According to Oddsshark, via Covers.com, right behind Tom Brady (+400) is Aaron Rodgers at +500. Rodgers will be without his go-to guy Jordy Nelson in 2018, as the Packers decided to part ways with the longtime star.

On the heels of the two Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks is Philadelphia's Carson Wentz at +800, New Orleans' Drew Brees is +1200, and rounding out the top five is a two-way tie between Seattle's Russell Wilson and San Francisco's Jimmy Garoppolo at +1600.

Cam Newton and Matt Ryan are both sitting at +1800, while Kirk Cousins and Deshaun Watson round out the top ten at +2000.

So how about a non-quarterbacks chance of winning the MVP? That honor belongs to the Rams Todd Gurley, Steelers Le’Veon Bell and Cowboys Ezekiel Elliott who are all listed at +2500. Is this Bell's last run with the Steelers?

The NFL season officially kicks off on September 6 when the Atlanta Falcons take on the Philadelphia Eagles at 8:20 PM ET.
