With the NBA Summer League having just started, many of the players that are involved are rookies, second-year players, or are those that have yet to play in the league.

There are always a few players each year though that have multiple years of experience in the NBA and are looking to get back in the league. Damien Wilkins had last appeared in the 2012-13 season before joining the Pacers’ summer league team. He was able to make the team’s opening roster at the age of 37.

Here are some former NBA players who are on summer league rosters but did not play in the NBA last season.

These individuals are looking to showcase themselves as much as they can just to have another chance to play at the highest level.

C.J. Wilcox - Pacers

Wilcox was taken 28th overall by the Clippers in the 2014 NBA Draft. The 27-year-old played 44 games for them over two seasons and last played in the league in 2016-17 as he made 22 appearances with the Magic.

Perry Jones III - Timberwolves

Many people thought of Jones III as a potential lottery pick out of Baylor, but he slid all the way to the 28th selection in 2012 for the Thunder. The 26-year-old spent three seasons with them until 2014-15, and he hasn’t been seen in the NBA since then.

Byron Mullens - Magic

It has been a fairly long while since Mullens played in the NBA. He last played in 45 games in the 2013-14 season with the Clippers and 76ers. The 29-year-old’s best season came in 2012-13 with the Bobcats (now Hornets) when he averaged 10.6 points and 6.4 rebounds.

John Jenkins - Trail Blazers

A first-round pick by the Hawks in 2012, Jenkins played in 98 games for Atlanta over his first three seasons averaging 5.6 points.

The 27-year-old was last seen in the NBA making four appearances for the Suns in the 2016-17 season.

K.J. McDaniels - Trail Blazers

An early second-round pick in 2014, McDaniels started 25 games in his rookie season with the 76ers. He was waived by the Raptors just before last season began. The 25-year-old played 49 games for the Rockets and Nets in 2016-17.

Archie Goodwin - Trail Blazers

Goodwin was drafted late in the first round in 2013. He spent three years with the Suns and averaged 8.9 points in his last season with them in 2015-16. The 23-year-old appeared in 15 games in the 2016-17 season with the Pelicans and Nets. Along with Jenkins and McDaniels, Goodwin is one of six players on the Trail Blazers’ summer league roster with at least two years of NBA experience according to NBA.com.
