NBA free agency has been crazy so far and now the next domino has fallen, with The King choosing to take his talents to L.A. and join the Los Angeles Lakers. Some people thought that star Paul George would accompany him there, but instead, he chose to stay with the Oklahoma City Thunder. We will have to see how the rest of the NBA free agency pans out, but the biggest star in the NBA is now off the market.
The Decision Part 3
There is a new king in L.A. and it is LeBron James, according to CBS News, as Klutch Sports Group broke the news. According to CBS, Klutch Sports Group is "run by longtime friend and agent Rich Paul." The King has made a quick decision for the next chapter in his basketball career as he has signed a "four-year $154 million deal." It will be LeBron's third different team, as the others were the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Now, James will be entering a good situation with a lot of young talent around him and with Magic Johnson at the helm. LeBron James will be able to invigorate the Lakers franchise as they have not made the playoffs in quite some time. The King in L.A. will additionally be able to expand his business and social activism in one of the biggest markets in the world.
It has to be said that California is a nice place to live in and he will be enjoying the weather, and more importantly, one of the best franchises in the world. He will be replacing one of the greatest players of all-time in Kobe Bryant, and with LeBron there, the Lakers have a chance to win it all. With the decision comes a lot of praise, but also a lot of demand, as many legends who have gone to the Lakers ended up winning a championship.
The team, in addition to signing James, has reached a one-year deal worth $12 million with shooter Kentavious Caldwell-Pope as reported by ESPN.

A dream fulfilled
A lot of rumors were depicting that James was going to choose either the Lakers or the Cavaliers.
And it is the Lakers, as the Cavs do not have enough assets for LeBron to win again.
It has to be said that LeBron James ended a championship drought with the Cavaliers by winning it all with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. He could have won it all before that, but both of the two stars were injured and then Kevin Durant made the decision to join the Golden State Warriors, which shifted the balance of power as the dominant team steamrolled past any opponent.
James will finally leave the Eastern Conference, which will shift the balance of power. The King will be playing in a much tougher Western Conference, with the best teams in the league in the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, and the New Orlean Pelicans.
Young players Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball are already excited to see The King in a Lakers uniform with their tweets. Now James will embark on his journey as a member of the purple and gold. There could be a banner waiting in the Lakers near future with LeBron's arrival. Welcome LeBron to L.A.!
