Toss: The captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bowl first. He said that it is important to restrict the Sunrisers Hyderabad unit to a low score and then bat well to chase it down. The Royal Challengers made a few changes to their line up from the previous game.
Moeen Ali replaced Brendon McCullum and Manan Vohra came in place of Murugan Ashwin.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, made no changes to their XI from the last game. Captain Kane Williamson said that even he would have liked to bowl first on this pitch but his team is up for the challenge. He says that his team has played on different surfaces, and learning to adapt to different conditions is key moving forward in this tournament.
Both captains agreed on a fact that the Hyderabad pitch looks pretty good for now. Kane Williamson noted that this pitch hasn't changed much from the last game here and he is expecting that the pitch will behave in the same way through the game.
