Miami Heat lost to the Orlando Magic with the score 90-93 in the NBA preseason game according to NBA.com. Hassan Whiteside and Josh Richardson both had an incredible game, but it was not enough to help the Heat get the victory. Aaron Gordon led the Magic in points with 19, while Jonathan Isaac also contributed 13 points. Goran Dragic did not play last night against the Magic.
Hassan Whiteside grabs 15 rebounds
Hassan Whiteside recorded a double-double last night against the Orlando Magic in 26 minutes of gameplay. He contributed 17 points and 15 rebounds while shooting 61.5 percent from the field making eight of his 13 field goal attempts.
If Hassan Whiteside can play consistently next season, he may be looking into an all-star season. The Heat will need Whiteside to be as dominant as ever in the paint in order for them to go deep in the playoffs this upcoming season.
Josh Richardson puts on a show
Josh Richardson led the Miami Heat scoring in last night's game against the Orland Magic with 19 points. He shot 53.8 percent from the field to go along with two rebounds, four assists, four steals, and one block. He made seven of his 13 field goal attempts and made three of his four three-point attempts. Josh Richardson is slowly becoming a very solid scorer in the NBA. If he can continue to play well, he may have himself a breakout season.
Dion Waiters scores 17 points
Dion Waiters had a solid game last night against the Orlando Magic. He contributed 17 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. He shot 55.6 percent from the field making five of his nine field goal attempts and making all of his six free throws. If Waiters can remain healthy this upcoming season, the Miami Heat will have a decent chance of making a deep playoff run.
Aaron Gordon looking really good
Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier will have the chance to be the main scoring options for the Orlando Magic this upcoming NBA season, and that was what Gordon did last night against the Miami Heat. He contributed 19 points (team high), six rebounds, one assist, and one block. He made nine of his 14 field goal attempts and made one three-pointer.
Many have criticized Gordon to only be good at dunking, but he has truly improved a lot in his offensive game.
Jonathan Isaac continues to impress
With all the hype Lonzo Ball and Ben Simmons are garnering, many have overlooked Jonathan Isaac. Issac continued his solid game streak last night against the Miami Heat. He contributed 13 points, five rebounds, one steal, and two blocks. He made four of his eight shots and made four of his five free throws. Isaac will have lots of playing time for him to improve this NBA upcoming season.
