With the NBA season starting in a few days, the NBA preseason is a great look into what to expect this coming NBA season. On October 5, 2017, seven NBA teams and the Shanghai Sharks hit the hard court and battled it out.
The Brooklyn Nets continue to put on a good show during the NBA preseason games as they blew out the Miami Heat. The combination of Jeremy Lin and D'Angelo Russell in the backcourt seems to work out fine and will remain that way hopefully.
The Nets seem to have learned how to finish games which they struggled to do during the past NBA season.
Dallas Mavericks vs. Orlando Magic
The Orlando Magic dominated the Dallas Mavericks in their game with a score of 112-89. Orlando had a good start and did not look back from there.
Magic's Aaron Gordon had 17 points and ten rebounds to lead all players, while his teammate Elfrid Payton led in assists with five.
Miami Heat vs. Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets stunned the Miami Heat; the Nets defeated the Heat 107-88. D'Angelo Russell and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson contributed in both ends of the floor tonight, both had nine points and two steals.
Rodney McGruder continues to start at the small forward position for Miami Heat's head coach Erik Spoelstra.
Tyler Johnson led all scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead all players, while Nets' Spencer Dinwiddie dished out six assists to lead all players.
Shanghai Sharks vs. Houston Rockets
James Harden, Chris Paul, and the rest of the Houston Rockets destroyed the visiting Shanghai Sharks 144-82. Chris Paul had a double-double in points and assists, he also had four steals. Harden had nine points, ten assists, to go with his two blocks.
Shark's Josh Emmanuel Akognon had 27 points to lead all scorers, while Rockets' Clint Capela led in rebounds and Paul led in assists with 11 and 12 respectively.
Toronto Raptors vs. Portland Trailblazers
Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, Jusuf Nurkic and the rest of the Portland Trailblazers defeated Kyle Lowry and the Toronto Raptors 106-101. It is also important to note that both DeMar DeRozan and C.J. Miles did not play in this game.
McCollum had 15 points; he also had two rebounds, four assists, three steals, and one block this game. While Nurkic had 12 points and six rebounds.
Kyle Lowry scored game-high 23 points but turned the ball over five times; Damian Lillard had a complete game with 16 points and led all players in assists with eight. Portland's Caleb Swanigan and Toronto's Alfonzo McKinnie led in rebounds with eight.
