The Indiana Pacers defeated the Brooklyn Nets by the score of 140-131 on Wednesday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. Despite a great game by D'Angelo Russell and Trevor Booker, the Indiana Pacers were too much for the Brooklyn Nets. Jeremy Lin exited the game in the fourth quarter, and the Brooklyn Nets will probably miss Lin for the entire season.
D'Angelo Russell looking good
Despite the loss, D'Angelo Russel played a great game last night against the Indiana Pacers. He contributed 30 points, three rebounds, five assists and one steal.
He shot the ball at a fantastic rate of 54.5 percent from the field, 50 percent from beyond the arc, and 100 percent from the free throw line. With Jeremy Lin likely to miss the entire season after rupturing his patella tendon, Russell will have to lead the Nets this season.
Trevor Booker continues to impress
Trevor Booker is one of the best players in terms of fantasy points last season, and he continues his impressive showing. Booker had a solid game against Indiana Pacers, contributing 20 points and 10 rebounds. He shot 70 percent from the field, zero percent from the three-point line, and 85.7 percent from the free throw line. Losing Jeremy Lin was a big blow for the Nets. Other players will have to step up and try to fill the void Lin left.
Myles Turner gets four blocks
Myles Turner had an incredible game against the Brooklyn Nets as he led the team in rebounding with 14. He contributed 21 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, and four huge blocks. He shot 61.5 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from the three-point line, and 100 percent from the free throw line.
With the departure of Paul George, the Indiana Pacers are looking to rebuild this upcoming season. This will lead to a huge opportunity for Myles Turner and the other young guys to mature faster by getting additional minutes this season.
Victor Oladipo plays an all-around game
Victor Oladipo also had a solid game last night against the Brooklyn Nets.
He did a little bit of everything with 22 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Victor has all the skills to be a great two way player in the NBA. If Victor and the rest of the Pacers can play this well consistently, they may have a slim chance of sneaking and taking the eight spot in the eastern conference. With the Pacers rebuilding, Oladipo will have plenty of chance to improve his game and show how good he already is.
