The Cleveland Cavaliers suffered a frustrating loss to the New York Knicks on Sunday night (Oct. 29), falling 114-95. The Cavaliers earned their third straight loss in this game against one of the worst teams in the NBA this season. Coming into Sunday, the Knicks had only won one game in the first two weeks.

The New York Knicks are supposed to be Eastern Conference bottom-feeders; same with Orlando Magic and the Brooklyn Nets. But these are the teams who have defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers, one of the best teams in NBA, over the last eight days.

Coach Tyronn Lue said in a report by the Associated Press “Tonight’s loss and the last couple are unacceptable, and the only way we’re going to be able to get out of it is to put the work in – as players, as coaches. And we’re going to do that.”

The Cavaliers shot only 38.3 percent from the field and 30.3 percent from the three-point line. They had 15 turnovers and 48 rebounds. Kevin Love led his team with 22 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, and a steal. LeBron James scored only 16 points but had 10 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals in his 39 minutes of game time. Derrick Rose, who just returned from a four-game absence due to a sprained ankle, scored only 15 points and added three rebounds and three assists.

The Knicks outscored the Cavs

The New York Knicks entered this game 28th in the NBA scoring, averaging just 96.8 points per game. They shot 47.2 percent from the field and made 13-of-28 in three-point attempts during the game against the Cavaliers. They had 14 turnovers and 57 rebounds. Tim Hardaway Jr. scored a game-high 34 points, adding four rebounds, eight assists, and two steals.

Kristaps Porzingis also looked good, scoring 32 points for the Knicks while posting12 rebounds and two blocks. Enes Kanter contributed 18 points with 12 rebounds.

After the game, Porzingis said, “It’s nice to finally beat the Cavs for the first time in my career. Hopefully, we can be in the playoffs, and that’s when it really matters.”

LeBron James is not worried about their poor performance

The four-time MVP, LeBron James, insists he is not worried in the slightest as there is still plenty of time left in the season.

He said that he is not the right person to ask about the Cavaliers poor performance because he is too positive. “It was really bad. We were pretty bad defensively,” James said.

After their loss to the Knicks, LeBron James became the center of the fans frustrations and anger. Social media was not kind to the Cleveland Cavaliers after losing to the lowly New York Knicks.
