With the WWE "No Mercy 2017" pay-per-view just under a week away, the final episode of WWE "Raw" before the PPV took place from San Jose, California. The show opened with General Manager Kurt Angle coming to the ring to boast about the upcoming PPV only to be interrupted by The Miz with Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas. Miz insulted Angle after he mentioned he was booking a Fatal 4Way tonight to determine a No. 1 contender for Miz's Intercontinental title. Miz complained about Jason Jordan getting favoritism. Jordan came to the ring and told Angle to add Axel and Dallas to the match so Miz won't have any excuses when he beats him for the title. Miz talked a bit more trash and Jordan attacked him before clearing Dallas and Axel from the ring.
