With the WWE "No Mercy 2017" pay-per-view just under a week away, the final episode of WWE "Raw" before the PPV took place from San Jose, California. The show opened with General Manager Kurt Angle coming to the ring to boast about the upcoming PPV only to be interrupted by The Miz with Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas. Miz insulted Angle after he mentioned he was booking a Fatal 4Way tonight to determine a No. 1 contender for Miz's Intercontinental title. Miz complained about Jason Jordan getting favoritism. Jordan came to the ring and told Angle to add Axel and Dallas to the match so Miz won't have any excuses when he beats him for the title.

Miz talked a bit more trash and Jordan attacked him before clearing Dallas and Axel from the ring.

Sasha kicked Alexa and then Bayley hit her finisher on her.

Sheamus tossed Ambrose out of the ring to steal the pinfall.

Roman Reigns came to the ring to cut a promo about how John Cena is a great talker but some of what he says is all a lie.

He said Cena isn't there tonight because he's busy doing other things. Reigns ended with "See you Sunday, movie star," before dropping the mic.

Bray Wyatt defeated Dustin Rhodes via pinfall. Rhodes had requested the match earlier from Kurt Angle, revealing he was no longer wearing his Goldust paint or costume. In the match, Wyatt was able to withstand Rhodes' attempt at Shattered Dreams and hit him with Sister Abigail. Post-match, Finn Balor came up on the big screen and said Balor will find out about who is more dangerous at "No Mercy," the demon or the man who created the demon.

Enzo Amore tried to come to the ring to cut a promo but Braun Strowman arrived out on the ramp to attack him. He dragged Enzo down to the ring and tossed him in through the ropes. Strowman hit a chokeslam and powerslam on Enzo and then left the ring to walk up the ramp. Neville came down and gave him a look of amazement. In the ring, Neville hit the Red Arrow and got on the mic to ask Enzo "How you doing?"

Neville defeated Gran Metalik in a non-title match. Late in the contest, Neville delivered a boot to Metallic when he came off the top rope and then put the Rings of Saturn on him for the win.

Main event

In the main event, six men competed in a Six Pack Challenge with the winner becoming No. 1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship. The winner would go on to face The Miz at "No Mercy 2017" for the title. Competing in the match were Jason Jordan, Elias, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Bo Dallas, and Curtis Axel.

Towards the end of this match, Elias hit his Drift Away finisher on Matt Hardy. Jeff was able to break up the pinfall and hit a Swanton on Axel but The Miz broke it up. Jason Jordan got the last laugh as he hit a neck breaker on Axel and took the winning pinfall.

After the match was over, The Miz got into the ring and stared down Jordan.

Miz gave a mock applause and then seemed like he was leaving but instead tried to hit Jordan with a cheap shot. Jordan ducked it and hit a belly-to-belly suplex. Dallas and Axel were back in the ring to attack Jordan. The numbers game helped The Miz put Jordan down with Skullcrushing Finale. He delivered some final words before the PPV indicating he'll still be champion after Sunday and Jordan will still be a "bastard." That closed out the latest episode of WWE "Raw."
