A recent report has indicated that Brie and Nikki Bella are planning a comeback to the WWE ring for next year. The duo that is known for their "Twin Magic" gimmick, "Total Bellas" reality show, and has several championship wins on the main roster, seems eager to return to action. Right now, their live situations are proving to be more important matters, though. Here's the latest on when WWE fans might expect to see these women's superstars back in the square circle.
Busy lives
Both Brie Bella and Nikki Bella have a lot going on at the moment. The duo are stars of several reality programs on the E!
Network, "Total Divas" and "Total Bellas." They're also entrepreneurs working on the "Bella" brand of various products. In addition, the duo each has family lives they're focused on. For Brie, that involves taking care of her and Daniel Bryan's first-ever child together, Birdie Jo.
For Nikki Bella, she's planning a wedding with WWE superstar John Cena. In addition, Nikki is competing on the hit show "Dancing With the Stars" and had a decent start. Nikki earned a 20 for her first round of scores on a dance, putting her amongst the top contenders early on. All of that has pushed wrestling to the backburner.
Of the two, Brie has been away from the ring the longest, while Nikki has been M.I.A. since winning a mixed gender tag team match with John Cena at "WrestleMania 34." Nikki had held the Divas Championship for the longest reign in the history of the title prior to Charlotte defeating her and the title being turned into a Women's Championship.
Both Brie and Nikki have seemingly been enjoying life away from WWE. Still, it seems these two former divas who are now amongst WWE women's division are itching for a return.
Return to WWE ring
As mentioned, the duo of Brie and Nikki Bella are planning to return to the wrestling ring in 2018. They said in a recent interview with "InTouch Weekly" that they want to return in 2018, but "not as individuals, and instead as the Bella Twins."
It's unknown if the twins would be kept together on one of the rosters or split between "Raw" and "SmackDown Live," but it seems like they want to be on the same show.
Brie's significant other, Daniel Bryan, is the General Manager of the blue brand, while Nikki's future husband, John Cena, is a free agent. That could help matters just a bit if they end up as free agents like Cena, or on "SmackDown."
It's going to be interesting to see what WWE ultimately decides, though. There are several women's stars coming to the respective rosters in the near future as well as several who could make their way to the main roster from NXT.
Among the women who will be on "Raw" or "SmackDown" in the near future seem to be former Divas Champion Paige and former NXT Champion Asuka.
WWE fans, do you think Brie and Nikki Bella will be placed on the same roster together, or on separate rosters when they make their return to WWE?
