LeBron James' contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers will end after 2017 NBA season and he will become an unrestricted free agent. He will be free to sign with any team he wants to and without a doubt, there will be teams lining up.
The situation in Cleveland is far from ideal, as they lost last year's NBA Finals to Golden State Warriors and they lost Kyrie Irving to the Celtics in the off-season. It is well known that LeBron''s relationship with Cavs' owner Dan Gilbert is very bad ever since he left Cleveland to join Miami Heat in 2010.
When LeBron came back to Cleveland in 2014 he stated that he came back because of the fans and because he wanted to bring his hometown a championship.
He fulfilled his goal of winning a championship for Cleveland in 2016 when the Cavs came back from the 3-1 deficit against the Warriors in order to win the NBA Finals.
LeBron's reason to leave Cleveland once again
There are a couple of reasons why LeBron James would leave the Cavaliers once again. LeBron doesn't like Dan Gilbert and they barely speak to each other. LeBron got upset when Gilbert fired former Cavs' GM David Griffin and it is highly unlikely that James would play for Gilbert if the Cavs aren't competing for a championship.
LeBron James has been playing like a playmaker since he came back to Cleveland, handling the ball most of the time, and that is why he might want to join a team with young and talented players who need a leader.
There have been many rumors of his second departure from Cleveland, and the team that he has been linked to the most are The Los Angeles Lakers.
The Lakers seem like the best option for LeBron because they have a young team with talented players like Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball, and are desperate for a leader ever since Kobe Bryant retired.
By playing for the Lakers he could prove to his doubters that he would have been just as dominant had he played in the Western Conference his entire life.
Peter Vescey claims that LeBron James will join the Lakers in 2018!
A veteran sports columnist Peter Vescey decided to stop the rumors about LeBron's future, stating unequivocally that LeBron James will join the LA Lakers after the 2017 Nba Season!
There have been many reports saying that the league officials already know that LeBron will leave the Cavs once again and that his next destination is LA. LeBron James is a businessman and a move to LA would be good for his interests of the court. It seems like LeBron James will be on the move once again!
