The Carolina Panthers, led by the 2015 NFL MVP Cam Newton, defeated the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. The Panthers scored a field goal in the last second of the fourth quarter and won the game 33-30. This is an important win for the Panthers, as they now have a 3-1 record and are just one win behind the Atlanta Falcons in a race to win the NFC South. Panthers offense played very well in this game, in particular on the last drive when they scored the field goal to win the game. Tom Brady and the offense put up a good performance in this game, but it wasn't enough to win because the defense played horrible today.

Cam and Brady put up good performances

Tom Brady played very well today, as he threw for 307 yards and two touchdowns without an interception. Brady was under pressure for most of the game, but he still completed 32 out of his 45 pass attempts. Patriots' offensive line played poorly in this match allowing Brady to get sacked three times. Cam Newton put up a good performance throwing for 316 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. He was sacked twice, but he ran the ball very well which enabled the Panthers to move the chains. For the Panthers Kelvin Benjamin caught four passes for 104 yards, while Jonathan Stewart rushed for 68 yards on 14 carries. Panthers' rookie Christian McCaffrey played a big role in today's win, both as a receiver and as a running back.

Rob Gronkowski caught four passes for 80 yards, while Mike Gillislee ran the ball 12 times for 49 yards.

An awful defense lost the game for the Patriots

The Patriots defense has been struggling this season, and today they played their worst game so far. Every aspect of their defense was horrible; the pass rush was non-existent, they were blowing coverages, their secondary was awful, etc.

Patriots defense made penalties that lost them the game, especially on the last drive by the Panthers when they made a penalty on a third down which kept the ball in Cam Newton's hands and out of Tom Brady's. It is uncommon for Matt Patricia's defense to be playing this poorly and they will have to make some drastic changes if they plan to make a Super Bowl run.

They currently have a 2-2 record and are in the second place in the AFC East behind the Buffalo Bills.

The Carolina Panthers snatch a win on the road

This is an important win for the Panthers, as it will give much-needed confidence n both sides of the field. Their offense started slowly in this game, as Cam Newton made a horrible mistake that led to an interception. Later in the game, they started to play very well and used every blown coverage of the Pats defense in order to put up their best performance so far this season. Their defense was great in this game, and if they continue to play this well, the Panthers could make a run in the playoffs.
