Bray Wyatt has turned one of the most original characters that the WWE has created into one of the most polarizing. There are still many fans who love everything about the Eater of Worlds and those are evident by the lighters that come out. However, despite Wyatt still working a very interesting gimmick, his losses and repetitive promos have caused some critics to start to dismiss him as all talk and no success.

In a recent interview with Between the Ropes, Bray Wyatt talked about his character as well as the upcoming WWE 2K18 video game and SummerSlam, which takes place on Sunday night.

On how Bray Wyatt sees his character

Bray Wyatt has been compared to a lot of wrestlers from the past. One of the biggest comparisons was with Jake "The Snake" Roberts. Interestingly, in the 80s and 90s, Jake was one of the top stars in the WWE but he didn't win any titles during his time in the company. Despite that, many see him as a legend. While Wyatt shares the ominous promo skills of Roberts, he actually has won more titles despite his perceived lack of success.

However, it isn't Jake "The Snake" Roberts that Bray Wyatt compared himself to in the interview. It was Cactus Jack. Of course, Cactus Jack was one of the personas of Mick Foley, who also went by the names of Mankind and Dude Love. While Mankind seems more similar to Bray, it was Cactus Jack that was more violent and cut very ominous promos.

"I'm kind of heavy into the weapons and the 'extreme' if you will. Like it kind of matches where I've always found my most success," Wyatt said. "I'm kind of like a new age Cactus Jack."

WWE doesn't really understand Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt has said for a while now that few people in the WWE really understand his character. According to Wyatt, nothing has really changed and no one understands his character better than he does so he is the only person who really works on developing and making changes to the character he plays.

Wyatt said that a lot of people have different ideas on who he is and what his character should be doing but he doesn't really pay attention to those individuals. As a matter of fact, when it comes to the WWE there is one person that he really paid attention to and that man is the late "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes.

However, when it comes to developing the character of Bray Wyatt and deciding on how he will react to a situation, the man says he listens to no one and doesn't care what anyone else in the WWE has to say.
