Week 1 of the 2017 Ncaa Football schedule will be in full gear this week and many of the nation's top teams will be back in action. Starting Thursday evening and running through next Monday night, the college pigskin games will be front and center as NCAA fans welcome back the game they love!

Alabama is top dog, defending champion Clemson No. 5

The Alabama Crimson Tide fell short in last seasons NCAA title game against the Clemson Tigers, yet they will start the season as the No.

1 ranked team in the land. The Tide looked poised to roll Clemson for the second straight season in the championship game, however, Clemson's Deshaun Watson saved his best play for the final quarter leading the Tigers to a come from behind 35-31 victory. What is scary about Alabama is that they may be better this year than last year, meaning a third straight trip to the championship game is not out of the question.

Big games right out of the gate

The NCAA schedule makers wasted no time in providing fans with some great match-ups in Week 1, including two match-ups between some of the best college teams to ever hit the gridiron!

The first game that will surely have a bowl-game type atmosphere will be when the No.

11 ranked Michigan Wolverines take on the No. 17 Florida Gators from Dallas. Both of these teams are expected to do well this season and the winner of this match-up should get a nice boost in the early poll rankings heading into Week 2.

If that game doesn’t get you ready for college football, the second game will feature top ranked Alabama facing off against No.

3 Florida State. Talk about a great early season must-see game! Both of these two teams have “National Championship or Bust” posted on them by many college football experts and Vegas odds makers alike. Sure it may be just Week 1, but these two games will have an immediate effect on the NCAA polls the following week.
