With Jon Jones making the call to Brock Lesnar, it seems that a potential fight between the two behemoths may be happening soon. While that could be something, one of the most decorated champions in MMA history believes it will all be a waste of time.
The guy is Dan Henderson who believes that a Jones vs Lesnar fight may be no different from the circus match between Mayweather and McGregor. The match may be fought mainly for fun and of course earning big bucks. Somehow, the 46-year-old may have a point.

Talks may have already been done
Even before UFC 214, Jones already scratched the surface when he took a swipe at Brock Lesnar.
Though the one who threw the question still started it all, seeing Lesnar respond somehow hints that it was a potential fight in the making had “Bones” won.
With the emphatic win of Jones over rival Daniel Cormier, the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion planted the seeds when he made the call and dropped the microphone inside the Octagon. Lesnar already made a response, warning Jones to be careful about what he should wish for.
Jones is unlikely to be taken aback by that response as he never backs down from anyone. Will it happen? The WWE may have just added more fuel to the fire.
Heyman, Lesnar threaten to leave WWE
Lesnar is set to defend his WWE Universal title at SummerSlam 2017. During the July 31 edition of WWE Raw, Paul Heyman and the Beast Incarnate came face-to-face with general manager Kurt Angle, dismayed at the odds of the Fatal Four-Way main event.
Though most know that this is nothing more than a storyline, Heyman said that he and Lesnar would leave the WWE if they lost the title. With odds obviously different, this could very well open the door for Lesnar to make a UFC return and take up Jones on his offer.
Nothing is certain right now though Lesnar is facing a daunting task.
Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, and Samoa Joe will be in that match, all of which could fit in well succeeding Lesnar as Universal Champion.
The developments alone hint at something big, possibly with some UFC flavor. Lesnar could leave though it may be his usual time off. Hence, it justifies a potential fight with Jones, likely to happen before Wrestlemania 34 in 2018.
If that rumored match does take place, expect Lesnar to return to the WWE scene afterward. He did that at UFC 200 so the Beast Incarnate can easily do that again. Depending on when the UFC schedules it, he could return earlier like maybe the Royal Rumble 2018. As most know, most matches for Wrestlemania are set with that WWE pay-per-view.
