Two teams who look much different than they did at the start of the WNBA season meet at Mohegan Sun Arena on Tuesday night. The Connecticut Sun are amongst the surprise teams in the league after a slow start. Meanwhile, the Seattle Storm started the season 4-1 after their first five games and now look to be in danger of missing the playoffs unless they can find their winning ways. Here's the latest WNBA game preview including matchup odds, Game Time, TV channels, and how to see the Storm vs. Sun on a live stream feed for free.

WNBA game preview

The Seattle Storm are desperately trying to keep on pace to snag one of the final playoff spots this season.

As of this report, the team is tied with the Atlanta Dream at a record of 10-15 overall, but the Dream hold the tiebreaker. Seattle will need to pick up some wins and hope that Atlanta or Dallas falter down the stretch. In addition, the Chicago Sky are just a half game behind Seattle, with Indiana not far behind the Sky and Storm. The Seattle Storm have dropped three games in a row, though, and all three were on the road which doesn't bode well as they head into Connecticut Tuesday night.

The Connecticut Sun are currently sitting at third in the WNBA standings with a 15-9 overall record and an 8-3 home record. The Sun have gone 4-1 over their last five contests including their recent 93-92 win over the Phoenix Mercury.

Jonquel Jones finished with 19 points and 15 rebounds to help lead the way, while fellow WNBA All-Star Alyssa Thomas had 18 points. The Sun continue to lead the Eastern Conference standings and will look to stay ahead of the Washington Mystics with a big win tonight.

In terms of game odds, the Odds Shark website has the Connecticut Sun as seven-point favorites at home.

Moneyline betting prices range from -260 to -270 for the Sun at various sports books with the underdog Storm at +220 to +240. The over/under points total is at 169 points for the complete game at several of the sports books as of this report. When looking at the teams' last 10 meetings, Connecticut owns a 7-3 record with their most recent game a 83-79 win at Seattle back on July 12th.
