India beats China daily in TV debates and newspapers but finally defeated in the Boxing Ring to win the WBO Oriental super middleweight title in Mumbai. Indian boxer Vijender Singh beat China's Zulpikar Maimaitiali by 96-93, 95-94, 95-94 in a very close game. This is the second title of Vijender Singh; he is already holding WBO Asia Pacific super middleweight title which he had won defeating Australian Kerry Hope last year.

Amid tension on the border between both the countries, Vijender Singh’s winning statement was praiseworthy. He said, “I don't want this title because I don't want tension at the border.

I want to dedicate this win to India-China friendship. There is some tension at the border, need peace."

Among the home crowd, a fight of 96-93, 95-94, 95-94 score shows that the fight was very close and Zulpikar Maimaitiali was penalized by the referee too for his an unsporting low blow shot at Indian boxer. Known for extraordinary attacking capability, the Chinese boxer was undefeated in his previous nine professional bouts. It is the first defeat of Zulpikar in his professional career.

Indian sports in future

I remember the days when India was known by Hockey and Cricket in sports, nowadays Indians are doing well in boxing, wrestling, gymnastics and other fields internationally. It is a good sign for sports in India.

Before this world famous fight, many other Indian boxers won their matches. Akhil Kumar, Jitender Kumar, Asad Asif, Kuldeep Dhanda, Dharmender Grewal, Pardeep Kharera are future hopes for India in boxing after Vijender Singh.

A win in China for Indians

China has been a hot topic in India since last three-four months as the army of the both countries are on neck and neck situation on the border.

Many right wing religious groups and government advisers are running a campaign on every level to boycott Chinese products. Even schools are forcing their students not to use Chinese pencils and other utensils; some are checking children bags in the school.

An appeal from Prime Minister of India with his official letter and the official signature was shared and widely circulated on Facebook and other social networking sites to boycott Chinese products while nothing like this was officially announced.

Although, PMO declared this appeal fake and unofficial no one was arrested, and there is no any investigation is reported yet. Some are taking it as a silent approval of the government as many ministers have publicly made statements to boycott Chinese products.

In a very fresh interview on national television, Baba Ram Dev, a new entrepreneur who has launched many products in the Indian market has urged people not to use Chinese products as the country is using India’s money to kill Indian forces. In this situation, a win on the enemy is good news for the country.
